Yes I was talking about the much awaited movie “Shonibar Bikele”. The Bangladesh Film Censor Board was stuck for four years. “Shonibar Bikele” is directed by Mustafa Sarayer Faruqi and produced by Jaz Multimedia, Pictures and Tandem Productions. Mostafa Saryar Faruqi made the film inspired by the terrorist attack on the much-discussed Holi Artisan in Dhaka. Faruqi has failed in many attempts for the release of that film. "Shonibar Bikele" will hit theaters in the US and Canada on March 10.
However, no one can say when this movie will be released in Bangladesh. So what! 'Saturday afternoon' cannot be suppressed by issuing an unwritten ban.
At the beginning of the trailer, there is a disclaimer that it does not resemble any actual events or characters. This was the claim of Dhaka's post-censorship appeal board, though they did not clear the film recently with a green signal.
A movie made in India about the same incident was released on February 3. whose name is 'Faraaz'.

The reason for not allowing the release of 'Shonibar Bikele' was that the image of the country would be tarnished by this movie to the people abroad. However, Faruqi did not consider this as a logical reason. He commented, “There are thousands of videos on YouTube about this, and they are thinking of making a movie and covering it up. And 'Saturday afternoon' is being shown abroad! I have not heard of any image falling anywhere. The Hollywood Reporter is laughing at you in their review. They said, after seeing this picture, they do not understand how the image will fall! They felt that if anything could happen to the image as a result of this film, it could be an image boost!”
While the 1 minute 42 second trailer shows various moments of the attack, the main focus is on the behavior of the militants towards an Indian. Why? That answer may be found in the movie.
Continental Entertainment Pte Ltd (CEPL), a Singapore-based distribution company, has bagged the global distribution rights for the one-shot 'Saturday Afternoon'. They will release the film in America and Canada on March 10 through Indian company Reliance Entertainment. It will be released in other countries in the following months.
Nusrat Imroz Tisa, Zahid Hasan, Parambrat Chattopadhyay, Yad Hourani, Nader Chowdhury, Eresh Zaker, Intekhab Dinar etc. also acted in various roles in this movie.
